ABU DHABI: The country is bracing for unstable weather from February 16 to 18, with a mix of cloudy skies, rainfall, and strong winds due to an upper-air jet stream from the west and a surface low-pressure system extending from the southwest.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast partly cloudy to cloudy weather with light to moderate rain, particularly affecting coastal, northern, and eastern areas at intervals. Some regions may experience occasional bursts of heavier showers.
Winds will vary between northeasterly to northwesterly, remaining light to moderate but occasionally strengthening, leading to dusty conditions in certain inland areas. Visibility may be reduced at times, especially in open spaces and desert regions.
Sea conditions are expected to fluctuate, with slight to moderate waves in general but turning rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, particularly during periods of increased cloud activity.
Residents are advised to stay updated with weather alerts and take precautions while travelling, especially near coastal and exposed areas.
