ABU DHABI: The UAE has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s provocative statements regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia, calling them a blatant violation of international law.
Khalifa Bin Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and rejected any threats to its sovereignty, security, or stability. He stressed that Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty is a ‘red line’ that must not be crossed.
The minister also reiterated the UAE’s categorical rejection of any violations against Palestinian rights and condemned any attempts at displacement. He called for an immediate halt to Israeli settlement activities, warning that such actions threaten regional stability and diminish hopes for peace and coexistence.
Furthermore, Al Marar urged the United Nations and the UN Security Council to take responsibility for stopping illegal Israeli actions that violate international law. He called for global intervention to end ongoing injustices against the Palestinian people.
The UAE reaffirmed its historic commitment to safeguarding Palestinian rights and insisted on the need for a serious political solution to the conflict. The minister highlighted that lasting regional stability depends on implementing the two-state solution, ensuring Palestinians can establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
