DUBAI: The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has launched the Talent Development Forum, a new initiative to nurture the creative abilities of gifted students and involve their parents in the process. This interactive event is designed to provide students and parents with direct access to experts in talent development, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
The forum, held on December 15, focused on enhancing students’ creative thinking and communication skills through interactive sessions. It also strengthened the partnership between the foundation and parents, offering them tools and strategies to better support their children’s talents.
Dr. Mariam Ghawi, Director of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Center for Giftedness and Innovation, highlighted the forum’s role in supporting parents. She said, “The Talent Care Forum represents a pivotal step toward achieving the foundation’s objectives in supporting the parents of gifted students, enabling them to help their children reach their full potential.” She emphasised that nurturing giftedness requires collaboration between parents, experts, and the foundation itself.
A key feature of the forum was the focus on parent-student collaboration. Parents participated in dialogue sessions, gaining practical strategies to support their children’s creative growth. These sessions aimed to create a genuine partnership where parents play an active role in advancing their children’s educational journeys.
The event also reinforced the foundation’s broader mission to foster creativity and innovation. By nurturing students’ talents and enhancing their problem-solving abilities, the forum aligns with the foundation’s vision of building a generation capable of driving societal progress.
This Talent Development Forum is a major step in the foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting educational and creative excellence. It not only nurtures student potential but also empowers parents to be proactive partners in their child’s development journey.
