SHARJAH: Sharjah Taxi has reported remarkable operational results for 2024, with over 7.4 million passengers transported throughout the year—averaging 20,200 passengers daily. This milestone reflects the growing demand for its services and the public’s trust in its efficient, high-quality fleet.

Khalid Al Kindi, General Manager of Sharjah Taxi, highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainable transportation, announcing the introduction of environmentally friendly hybrid vehicles powered by both fuel and electricity. This initiative aligns with Sharjah’s vision to reduce vehicle emissions and enhance eco-friendly transport solutions.

He further revealed an ambitious goal: by 2027, Sharjah Taxi aims to convert 100% of its fleet to hybrid vehicles. “This transition aligns with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to establish the emirate as a clean, sustainable, and eco-friendly city across all sectors,” Al Kindi stated.

Sharjah Taxi’s fleet expansion and green initiatives reinforce its dedication to modernising transport services, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and passenger satisfaction. The growing reliance on its services highlights its role in the emirate’s mobility landscape, providing residents and visitors with reliable, safe, and environmentally responsible transport options.

With these significant achievements, Sharjah Taxi is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable urban mobility in the emirate.
