Sharjah Media City launches Influencers Room Programme at IGCF
Sat 07 Sep 2024SHARJAH: Sharjah Media City (Shams) has launched the “Influencers Room” programme during the 13th International Government Communication Forum. This initiative aims to train and develop influencers, integrating them into the social media job market. The six-week programme offers a platform for young talents to grow their businesses and transform ideas into impactful ventures.
The “Influencers Room” provides content creators with essential skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in social media. It includes workshops and interactive sessions on influencer marketing, content creation, brand collaboration, audience engagement, social media strategies, and personal branding. These sessions are led by industry experts, digital marketing specialists, and successful influencers, offering valuable insights and experiences.
Participants will also hear from well-known influencers about their journeys, challenges, and tips for succeeding in the competitive field. The programme encourages networking, allowing participants to connect with peers, industry professionals, and potential partners.
In the first week, participants are introduced to digital marketing, influencer marketing basics, content creation, audience behaviour, goal setting, and the Meta platform. The second week focuses on media influence, follower and brand engagement, artificial intelligence, and TikTok, with guidance from a specialised influencer. The third week covers media speaking, audience interaction, and Dolby technology. Week four includes workshops on photography, photo editing, and using digital tools for storytelling. The fifth week features media relations, digital content creation, and an introduction to YouTube. The final week offers a workshop on using artificial intelligence in podcasting.

Rashid Abdullah Al-Obad, Director of Shams, highlighted the programme as a pioneering initiative to develop the media sector, empowering influencers and content creators. He reiterated Shams’ commitment to supporting talent and delivering innovative, purposeful media content in line with Sharjah’s vision for entrepreneurship in the creative sectors.
