ABU DHABI: Autogo, a UAE-based autonomous mobility company under Kintsugi Holding, has announced the launch of RoboTaxi service trials in Abu Dhabi ahead of a full-scale rollout in 2026. This marks a significant step in the future of transportation, as the company teams up with Apollo Go, a subsidiary of Baidu, to bring next-generation mobility to the streets of the UAE capital.

The trials are being carried out in partnership with Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), ensuring alignment with local transport regulations, strategies, and infrastructure. This initiative is part of the emirate’s commitment to enhancing smart mobility and promoting sustainable transportation solutions.

The RoboTaxis, equipped with advanced electric designs and AI-driven systems, aim to provide a seamless and safe ride for passengers. The vehicles are specifically built to adapt to real-time road conditions, ensuring safe and consistent driving with zero human error, making them an ideal solution for modern urban environments.

Autogo’s RoboTaxi project is focused on reducing traffic congestion and cutting emissions, offering a greener alternative to traditional transport. The RT6 RoboTaxi, designed for autonomous ride-hailing, provides enhanced safety and comfort, marking a step forward in smart city development.

RoboTaxis will enhance safety and sustainability, helping to reshape the future of transportation.” He added that the partnership with Apollo Go will continue to evolve, preparing for a wider launch across Abu Dhabi by 2026.
