ABU DHABI: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence, visited Al Dhafra Air Base in Abu Dhabi to assess operational readiness and inspect defence units. Received by senior military officials including the Minister of State for Defence Affairs and the UAE Air Force Commander, the visit highlighted the country’s growing defence capabilities.
Sheikh Hamdan toured various sections of the base, including the Air Warfare Centre, where he received updates on command systems, technical infrastructure, and training programmes. He praised the use of modern technologies and the steady advancement in training and simulation efforts. The briefing also showcased missile defence advancements and the localisation of specialist military knowledge.
Commending the professionalism and preparedness of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Hamdan emphasised the importance of ongoing development, discipline, and the critical role of national talent in maintaining security. He noted that both human skills and technology contribute to battlefield superiority and the UAE’s robust defence posture.
Highlighting the shared responsibility of national security, he called for constant readiness to face future challenges. He thanked Air Force personnel for their service and dedication to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and achievements.
