DUBAI: Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is all set for its 76th Online Auction, offering 350 premium number plates for private vehicles. These plates include 3, 4, and 5-digit combinations with unique codes such as A, B, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, and Z.

Registration opens on Monday, 22nd July, giving enthusiasts the chance to secure their favourite number plates. Bidding begins promptly at 8:00 am on Monday, 29th July 2024, and runs for just 5 days.

To take part, interested bidders must have a Traffic File in Dubai. They also need to provide a security cheque of AED 5,000 payable to RTA and cover a non-refundable participation fee of AED 120. Payments can be made conveniently at RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Al Ramool, Al Barsha, or Deira. Alternatively, participants can pay by credit card through RTA’s official website.

The world’s most expensive premium number plate, simply “1”, fetched a staggering price of over 40 million UAE dirhams at an auction in the UAE.
