Abu Dhabi: An electronic “mediation” platform has been made available by the UAE Ministry of Justice as an online substitute for courtroom proceedings.

Through trained mediators skilled in completing processes in one of the two languages, the site is committed to resolving civil and business conflicts.

The platform intends to hasten conflict resolution, improve societal well-being, and lessen the judicial, administrative, and financial costs associated with court cases.

The e-mediation platform gives the parties the chance to actively participate in order to come to a settlement agreement, which needs to be approved by a qualified judge.

According to the ministry, this helps boost public confidence in alternate dispute resolution procedures and private sector involvement in promoting economic growth and swift case resolution.

This fits within the plan for accomplishing the national priorities of the UAE and creating an effective, result-driven administration.

As part of the “We are the Emirates 2031” vision of an open society with tolerance and coexistence as its guiding principles, the initiative aims to help the nation achieve the highest rankings in metrics like the rule of law and the index of enforcing contracts.

In response to sociological and economic changes, the platform also aims to realize its vision of a flexible judicial system that consolidates justice for a safe society and a vibrant economy.
