DUBAI: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced a high-speed rail bus at the World Government Summit, aiming to revolutionise public transport with a cost-effective and efficient travel option.

The newly launched rail bus is designed to carry 40 passengers per trip, operating at a top speed of 100 kilometres per hour. Shaped like a capsule, the vehicle measures 11.5 metres in length and 2.65 metres in width, providing a compact yet spacious transport alternative.

One of its standout features is its elevated track, built with solar panels to generate electricity for operations. This sustainable approach supports Dubai’s vision of eco-friendly urban mobility, reducing congestion and enhancing travel efficiency.

The RTA continues to expand Dubai’s transport network, focusing on smart, green, and cost-effective solutions to improve connectivity and ease daily commutes. With major infrastructure projects always underway, the introduction of the rail bus is a step toward modern, sustainable urban transit.

Dubai’s transport innovations, from driverless taxis to hyperloop explorations, position the city at the forefront of future mobility. The rail bus initiative is expected to make traffic smoother while offering residents and visitors a faster, greener public transport option.

With Dubai’s rapid urban growth, investments in advanced public transport systems ensure the city remains efficient, connected, and eco-friendly for the future.
