DUBAI: Dubai Police, in collaboration with “du,” a subsidiary of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, has organised a series of strategic meetings to discuss strategic aspects of proactive digital transformation in various police operations.

This initiative aligns with the commitment of both organisations to enhance cooperation in this vital field, aiming to make Dubai a global model for digital transformation.

The meetings covered six key areas of digital transformation. The first was “Community Happiness,” which addressed awareness, security media, social communication, cultural diversity, community initiatives, corporate identity, and company management. The second was “Financial Management,” which focused on revenue management and collection, investment and financial efficiency, financial control, budgeting, and accounting.

The third area discussed was “Excellence and Pioneering,” aiming to develop initiatives and projects, administrative processes, institutional evaluation, corporate excellence, opinion polling, and strategic planning. The fourth area, “Legal Affairs,” covered legal consultations, disputes, legislation, and auditing.

The fifth area, “Governance and Risk Management,” explored governance management, supervisory activities, risk and business continuity, and internal auditing. The sixth area, “Information Security,” focuses on information security governance, risks, and cybersecurity.

The meetings were attended by senior officers, specialists, and experts in digital services, digital transformation, community happiness, finance, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and governance and risk management, as well as specialists in excellence and pioneering.

Objectives of the Meetings
Brigadier Dr. Saleh Al Hamrani, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering at Dubai Police, stated that the meetings between Dubai Police and “du” aim to exchange expertise, enhance cooperation, and provide joint training to improve readiness and proactive digital future planning.

“This includes implementing smart services and artificial intelligence technologies to enhance security and community happiness,” he said.

Al Hamrani emphasised that Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, has stressed the importance of strengthening strategic partnerships in various critical fields to achieve pioneering and excellence, especially in rapidly growing digital transformation.

Al Hamrani added that the meetings reflect Dubai Police’s commitment to proactively applying smart and digital services in collaboration with strategic partners.

“Sharing expertise and experiences in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies enhances security systems and improves various operations and services,” he explained.

Al Hamrani noted that the meetings align with the UAE Digital Government Strategy 2025, which aims to promote broad governmental commitment across all sectors to incorporate digital aspects into all governmental strategies.

Exchanging Expertise and Ideas
Ahmed Bourhima, Executive Director of Government Relations at “du,” emphasised that the continuous strategic meetings between “du” and Dubai Police reflect both parties’ commitment to exchanging expertise and ideas to improve various operations and promote digital transformation. He highlighted the importance of collaboration and sharing experiences with government institutions to achieve the visionary leadership’s goal of making Dubai a global model for digital transformation.
