DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched ‘MyDubai Communities,’ a digital platform designed to bring together Dubai’s diverse population through shared interests and activities.
This initiative builds on the popular #MyDubai campaign, which began in 2014 to showcase life in the emirate through social media. The new platform aims to create stronger community ties while promoting Dubai’s values of tolerance and inclusivity.
Accessible via mydubaicommunities.com and featured on Instagram and TikTok (@mydubaicommunities), the platform allows residents and visitors to explore and join activity-based groups across various interests, from arts and sports to wellness and professional networking. Initially, it offers access to 100 communities, with plans to expand yearly.
Launching in line with the UAE’s Year of Community 2025, the initiative encourages meaningful interactions across Dubai’s 3.85 million residents, representing nearly 200 nationalities. The goal is to foster stronger social connections, making Dubai more than just a city of skyscrapers but a vibrant community.
Sheikh Hamdan highlighted Dubai’s commitment to its people, stating that true success lies not just in infrastructure but in the strength of its communities. The platform aligns with Dubai Social Agenda 33, which seeks to position Dubai among the world’s top three cities in terms of quality of life.
The platform features a user-friendly design, allowing quick sign-ups and easy navigation. Whether it’s sports, art, reading clubs, or women-only networks, MyDubai Communities offers something for everyone.
