DUBAI: AWQAF DUBAI is working on an exciting new project: a cool eco-friendly mall that will help fund mosques. The project is 17% done and is part of a bigger push to boost community support and charity in Dubai.
The mall, located in Al Khawaneej, will be a big space—165,000 square feet to be exact. It will feature 29 shops, a huge shopping centre, a medical clinic, restaurants, and a fitness centre. There’ll also be roads, gardens, parking, and two prayer rooms for men and women. The whole thing is going to cost about AED 40 million to build, but it’s expected to make AED 8 million a year. That money will help pay for around 50 mosques in Dubai that don’t have their own funding.
The best part? The mall is being built with green building standards, meaning they’re using eco-friendly materials and smart tech to save and recycle energy. This includes solar power and other renewable energy sources to keep the environment in mind.
Ali Mohammed Al Mutawa from AWQAF DUBAI recently checked out the site and was happy with how things are going. He said the mall fits perfectly with Dubai’s plans to grow and improve charitable work. He also highlighted that the project is on track and will be a great example of how endowments can make a difference.

Al Mutawa is calling on everyone—government, businesses, and individuals—to get behind this project. It’s not just about building a mall; it’s about making a positive impact on the community and setting a new standard for charitable work in Dubai.
The primary role of AWQAF DUBAI is to manage donated assets used for religious, educational, and social causes, making sure they help the community effectively.
