Discover UAE’s top 2025 travel trends from Allianz Partners Travel Index, revealing favourite destinations, travel motivations, and biggest traveller concerns.
UAE: The Allianz Partners Travel Index 2025 has unveiled the latest UAE travel trends, offering valuable insights into destination preferences, travel behaviours and growing concerns shaping outbound tourism.
According to the findings, an overwhelming 98% of UAE respondents plan to travel in 2025, reflecting the country’s renewed appetite for international experiences. The survey, conducted among 500 adults, ranks top destinations for UAE residents as follows:
- Middle East and North Africa
- UK and Europe
- Asia
- North America and Canada
- Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Pacific Islands
Interestingly, younger travellers (18–29) are increasingly turning to Central America and the Caribbean, with 11% expressing interest—double the percentage of the general population (5%).
In terms of travel frequency, 34% of respondents plan at least two trips annually, with higher-income households likely to travel five times or more per year. The preferred trip duration is 9–15 days, and family travel remains popular, with 45% choosing to holiday with loved ones.
When it comes to inspiration, 56% travel for rest and relaxation, while 46% seek cultural experiences. The planning window is typically three months, and social influence is key—58% trust recommendations from friends and family, while 55% are inspired by social media, especially YouTube (74%), Facebook (72%), and Instagram (69%).
On the financial front, 34% of UAE respondents plan to spend over USD 3,000 per trip, with only 3% budgeting under USD 500. Budgeting varies sharply by income bracket: high-income earners allocate larger budgets and travel frequently, while lower-income households favour fewer, shorter, and regional trips.
Despite the optimism, travel concerns remain. Personal safety (44%) and extreme weather (41%) top the list, followed by financial constraints, flight disruptions, and scams. Young travellers particularly worry about losing travel documents, while geopolitical tensions rank high among affluent travellers.
With strong travel intent but mindful planning, UAE’s globetrotters are balancing ambition with awareness, making 2025 a year of bold but thoughtful travel.
