UAE condemns Israeli offenses in Gaza Strip, targeting of refugee tents in Rafah

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned and denounced the ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, specifically the recent targeting of refugee tents in Rafah, which has resulted in countless deaths and injuries to innocent civilians.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire, providing protection for civilians, and prevention of further loss of life.

The UAE highlighted the importance of adhering to the measures imposed in the recent decision of the International Court of Justice, which demand that Israel immediately halt military operations in Rafah governorate and address the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. The statement also stressed the necessity of keeping the Rafah crossing open for the extensive distribution of humanitarian aid.

The Ministry urged the international community to intensify efforts to stop the escalation across all regions of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, alleviate the critical and severe humanitarian catastrophe faced by civilians in Gaza due to ongoing Israeli aggression, and ensure the urgent, sustainable, and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian and relief aid to the Gaza Strip.
