Coinciding with the “Earth Hour”, the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah is participating by turning off the lights and “unnecessary” electrical devices in a number of major mosques, today, Saturday, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm; with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of optimal use of energy, preserving the environment and providing energy for future generations.
