CAIRO: The UAE has reaffirmed its strong commitment to enhancing joint Arab cooperation across key developmental sectors, aligning with the vision and directives of its leadership.

Ahmed bin Suleiman Al Malik, Head of the International Organisations Department at the Ministry of Economy, made this statement during the Senior Officials’ Preparatory Meeting for the 115th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council. The meeting, held at the Arab League’s General Secretariat, saw participation from senior officials from Arab economic ministries.

Bin Suleiman highlighted the significance of this session in formulating key recommendations for the ministerial-level meeting scheduled for tomorrow in Cairo. He reiterated the UAE’s proactive role during its presidency of the 114th session, which focused on advancing economic, social, and environmental initiatives that are crucial for sustainable development across Arab nations.

He further stressed that joint Arab cooperation remains a top priority for the UAE, as it seeks to foster regional progress and strengthen economic and social ties among Arab states.

As the UAE hands over the presidency of the Arab Economic and Social Council to Bahrain, Bin Suleiman expressed confidence in Bahrain’s ability to build upon previous successes. He reaffirmed the UAE’s unwavering support for Bahrain in achieving ambitious goals that benefit the broader Arab community.
