RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned and rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent remarks regarding the displacement of Palestinians, reaffirming the centrality of the Palestinian issue to the Arab and Muslim world.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom praised the solidarity shown by Arab nations in opposing these statements, which it described as an attempt to distract from the ongoing crimes in Gaza, including ethnic cleansing.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Kingdom denounced Israel’s extremist mentality, which disregards the historical, emotional, and legal ties Palestinians have to their land. The statement condemned the destruction of Gaza and the killing of over 160,000 people, mostly women and children, as acts committed without humanity or moral responsibility.
Saudi Arabia reaffirmed that Palestinians are not intruders but rightful owners of their land, rejecting any notion of forced displacement. The Kingdom blamed proponents of such extremist ideologies for obstructing peace efforts by consistently rejecting Arab peace initiatives and systematically oppressing Palestinians for over 75 years.
The statement also highlighted Israel’s disregard for international law, the UN Charter, and fundamental human rights, asserting that peace will only be possible through a two-state solution based on justice and peaceful coexistence.
Saudi Arabia reiterated its unwavering stance: the Palestinian right to their land is inalienable, and no amount of time or oppression can erase it.
