Fujairah Run returns on November 19 with record participant attendance

Fujairah: National Bank of Fujairah PJSC (NBF) announced that it is in the final stages of preparations for its sixth annual run through Fujairah, and is set to welcome over 2000 runners of all ages and abilities from its home emirate and across the UAE on November 19. 

Held under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the NBF Run is designed to encourage residents to adopt active lifestyles and promises to deliver fun and fitness for all who take part, thanks to a packed event programme.

This year’s run features six competitive races of varying lengths, including 3km, 5km, 10km, an 11km trail run, a team run and a determined ones run. Starting and finishing at Fujairah Festival Square, opposite Fujairah Hospital near Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, all routes take in Fujairah’s magnificent mountain backdrops and historic landmarks.

Trophies, medals and exciting cash prizes totalling up to AED 95000 will be awarded to the top three male and female UAE nationals and residents on the 11km trail routes, 10km, 5km, and 3km and the determined runners.

The NBF Fujairah Run 2022 has secured sponsorship from many partners, significantly strengthening the extent and profile of this year’s run. They include Malabar Gold and Diamonds, Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, and DiscoverFujairah.ae, The Box, Allianz Marine, Global Marketing Systems DMCC, Port of Fujairah, Fujairah National Group, Rising Gym, Fujairah Adventures, Maharaj, Oasis water and Fujairah National Driving Institute. NBF thanks all partners for their generous support.

Registration for the event is open for individuals at https://fujairahrun.com/ and interested runners are invited to participate in the category that best suits them among the numerous categories. Registration closes on 17 November or whenever capacity is full. The race continues to attract a high level of participation from runners of all ages and fitness levels from across the UAE, so participants are encouraged to register very soon in order to avoid disappointment.
