Discover the Enchanted Forest Festival at Terra, Expo City Dubai from 28–29 June. A weekend of fungi, fairytales, and fun—kids go free!

Dubai: Expo City Dubai’s Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion – is set to transform into a magical forest wonderland with the Enchanted Forest Festival, a two-day indoor celebration running from 28–29 June. Bursting with whimsical fun, fungi-inspired learning, and free entry for children under 12, this nature-centric festival is designed to captivate minds of all ages.

The Enchanted Forest Festival invites families to step into a world of mycelium, forest creatures, and fairy-tale storytelling. Across both days, visitors can enjoy a rich mix of drop-in craft activities, nature-themed workshops, and interactive storytelling by popular children’s authors including Kathy Urban, Beverly Jatwani, and Ebtisam Al-Beiti.

Central to the festival are guided tours of Terra’s flagship Under the Forest exhibit, running every hour. These immersive sessions explore the extraordinary underground ‘wood-wide-web’ of fungi and roots, showing how trees communicate, protect, and nourish one another—revealing powerful lessons from nature’s own networks.

Among the most anticipated sessions is Citrus the Smoothie Sloth, where young guests can join Ebtisam Al-Beiti for a playful storytelling and smoothie-making experience. Meanwhile, Kathy Urban and Beverly Jatwani bring heartwarming tales of kindness and environmental consciousness to life during scheduled readings.

Activities throughout the weekend include:

  • Build-your-own forest habitats
  • Mushroom and butterfly-themed colouring stations
  • Nature-inspired sustainable artmaking
  • Meet-and-greet with Terra’s fungi mascot
