Celebrate UAE National Day across Dubai with this guide

Dubai: Dubai is gearing up for the 51st UAE National Day with an amazing line-up of concerts, firework displays, shopping deals, dining experiences and entertainment offers taking place across the city. Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this year’s UAE National Day celebrations in Dubai will run from National Day itself, 2 December, through to 11 December, providing 10 full days to mark the nation’s union and make unforgettable memories.

Head over to the stunning Al Wasl Plaza at Expo City for a concert experience like no other on UAE National Day, 2 December. Leading Emirati and GCC artists Eidha Al Mehali and Dalia Mubarak will be performing their greatest hits along with special guest performances to mark the occasion. Limited tickets for the show are now available online at dubai.platinumlist.net. Ticket prices start from AED 100, with the doors opening at 6.30 PM and the show starting at 8.30 PM.

Visit Dubai Festival City Mall on 2 December to see Fayez Al Saeed’s live concert at 8 PM, followed by a specially choreographed IMAGINE and fireworks show that will light up the sky in the colours of the UAE flag at 9 PM. DJ Bliss will close the night with an electrifying performance at 9.15 PM. Alternatively, head on over to City Walk where the popular Emirati singer Shamma Hamdan will perform an unmissable show at 8.30 PM at the fountain area.

Don’t miss out on the glittering fireworks displays making the celebrations even more enchanting at The Pointe and Dubai Festival City Mall at 9 PM; and at Al Seef, the Beach opposite JBR, and Bluewaters at 8 PM on December 2.

Keep an eye out for beautiful lighting and decorations in the colours of the UAE flag across the city, or meet up with Dubai’s favourite characters, Modesh and Dana at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, City Walk, Dubai Festival City Mall, Gate Avenue, Ibn Battuta Mall, The Circle, Nakheel Mall, Al Khawaneej Walk, Deira City Centre and Riverland Dubai at Dubai Parks & Resorts.


To celebrate UAE National Day, the city’s malls and shopping destinations will go all out with traditional performances, family entertainment and chances to win fabulous prizes. At The Pointe, there will be a breath-taking fireworks and fountain show at 9PM on 2 December, as well as activities for the little ones to enjoy. UAE Nationals spending AED 300 or more at the Dubai Festival City Mall stand a chance to win Air Arabia tickets.


From 2 to 4 December, visit Mercato Mall to enjoy live entertainment and fun activities for the whole family while La Mer and The Beach opposite JBR will provide visitors with special offers and folkloric music. From 1 to 4 December, shoppers spending AED 200 at stores excluding hypermarkets at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif can enter a daily draw to win 51,000 Share Points, equivalent to AED 5,100.
