A UAE resident for 14 years, Balal purchased the lucky ticket with five close friends from the Abu Dhabi International Airport counter—marking the end of a 12-year wait filled with hope.
Emotionally overwhelmed, he shared, “I’m shaking right now; I still can’t believe this is happening… today that dream came true.” Planning to split the winnings, Balal intends to build a home for his family in Bangladesh and think through his next steps carefully.
