Abu Dhabi: Big Ticket’s June excitement shows no signs of slowing down as two expatriate house drivers—Naushadh Chathery from India and Mohammed Chowdhury from Bangladesh—each won AED 150,000 in the third weekly e-draw of the month. Their stories of persistence and shared hopes exemplify the dream Big Ticket promises to deliver.
Naushadh, a 37-year-old from Kerala, has been residing in Dubai for 15 years while his family remains back home. Having heard about Big Ticket two decades ago, he’s been a loyal buyer, often pooling resources with 10 friends. This week’s win came from one of their free tickets, part of the “Buy 2, Get 4 Free” bundle. “It’s a small win, but it fills me with hope,” he said, noting plans to save his share and keep aiming for the grand prize.
Mohammed Chowdhury, 41, has called Abu Dhabi home for 20 years. A house driver and small business owner, he also secured the winning ticket as part of a group purchase. “It’s an unexplainable feeling,” he shared. “We’ll split the prize among our group, but my eyes are on the AED 25 million grand prize now.”
Also celebrating a win is Murthuja Ali Mahammed from India, who clinched his victory online with ticket number 276-219148. While undecided about how to use his prize, Murthuja expressed a desire to put the money to good use.
With three weekly draws complete, just one remains before the much-anticipated AED 25 million grand prize draw on 3 July. That day will also see three additional winners each taking home AED 75,000. The Dream Car series continues alongside, with a Nissan Patrol draw on 3 July and a Range Rover Velar up for grabs on 3 August.
