The Dubai Mall announces new name

Dubai: If you lived or visited the UAE, you know of The Dubai Mall, well here’s something to pique your interest. One of the city’s favourite retail therapy spots is rebranding.

The Dubai Mall by Emaar has announced that it is rebranding by changing its name via TikTok.

The video clip revealed that the shopping spot will now be called Dubai Mall.

In the short clip titled “Introducing our new name”, Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard can be seen walking towards the camera with the former name of the shopping plaza above his head.

He then clicks his fingers which leads to “the” being removed and it simply reads: “Dubai Mall.”

It runs with the caption: “New name but still your fave mall.”

Following the announcement, the brand has changed its profile picture on TikTok and Instagram with the new name.

Dubai Mall is the largest mall in the city and it has a lot to offer its home to the world’s largest virtual reality theme park, the world’s largest indoor aquarium and underwater zoo as well as the Dubai Ice Rink and an e-carting track.

And of course, you’ll find The Dubai Fountain in the shadow of Burj Khalifa outside.
