DUBAI: Dubai Safari Park is set to launch an exciting night safari experience from December 13, 2024, to January 12, 2025, offering visitors a unique chance to witness wildlife after dark. The limited-time event promises a fresh perspective on the animal kingdom, combining adventure with education.
Nightly safaris, led by expert wildlife guides, will showcase the nocturnal routines of over 90 species. Visitors can participate in interactive animal activities and enjoy captivating performances like African fire shows and neon displays. This immersive experience will highlight animals’ remarkable night adaptations, such as enhanced vision, echolocation, and heightened senses of smell and hearing.
Visitors will observe changes in animal behaviour, including lions’ increased roaring, the heightened activity of pygmy hippos, and the intensified hunting instincts of nocturnal predators. These insights aim to foster a deeper appreciation for wildlife and its survival mechanisms.
Ahmad Al Zarouni, Director of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities at Dubai Municipality, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative. He stated, “At Dubai Safari Park, we aim to educate our visitors about the marvels of the animal kingdom. The night safari offers a rare opportunity to explore hidden aspects of life in the wild and learn about our efforts to enhance animal welfare, by day and by night.”
This initiative coincides with Dubai’s peak tourist season and reinforces the city’s status as a global travel destination. Al Zarouni added, “Dubai consistently exceeds expectations in delivering memorable moments for everyone.”
Dubai Safari Park prioritises animal welfare, ensuring nocturnal species are observed in their natural state without disrupting their routines. The night safari runs from 18:00 to 20:00, with tickets available from December 11 at dubaisafari.ae.
