Due to a recent far-right rampage in the UK, several countries, including UAE from the Middle East, India and Malaysia from Asia, and Nigeria from Africa, have issued travel warnings. They are concerned about potential further violence from extremists in the coming days.

The UAE has warned that travellers might be at risk because of the unstable security situation in various UK cities. Over the weekend, extremist riots targeted mosques, Muslim immigrants, and people of colour. The Emirati embassy in London has advised citizens to be careful and avoid crowded areas in some cities.

London is a popular vacation spot for people from the UAE and the Gulf, especially in summer. Last year, there were 477,000 visits from the UAE to the UK.

India has also advised its citizens to stay alert and cautious while visiting the UK due to violence in places like Liverpool, Manchester, and Rotherham.

The violence in Southport, North West England, began last week after the tragic murder of three girls. The suspect, who was born in the UK, was wrongly labelled as a Muslim and an asylum seeker.

Police are urging people not to spread false information about the suspect’s religion and have warned that they will take action against those promoting hate.

Malaysia was quick to issue a travel warning, advising its citizens, especially students, to steer clear of protest areas in the UK. Indonesia also warned its nationals to be extremely cautious if they’re traveling or staying in the UK.
