DUBAI: DXB airports are getting ready for a big summer travel rush from July 6 to 17, expecting around 3.3 million guests moving through its airport terminals. About 914,000 people will be flying out during this time, showing how busy things will be!
The busiest stretch will be July 12-14, especially July 13, with around 840,000 guests expected. That’s a lot of people! On average, DXB will handle about 274,000 guests each day during this busy period.
Here are some tips to help you breeze through:
- If you’re flying Emirates, use their home and early check-in options. They also have city check-ins to make things easier.
- For flydubai travelers, it’s best to arrive at least four hours before your flight.
- If you’re flying with another airline, aim to get to DXB no more than three hours before your flight. Online check-in can save you time too!
- Know your airline’s rules for baggage and packing. Check ahead so you’re not caught off guard.
- At security, be ready by putting metal items like watches and phones in your carry-on. Follow the rules for liquids and gels too.
- Families with older kids can use Smart Gates for quicker passport checks.
- Make sure you have all your travel documents ready and know the rules for your destination.
- Get organized early by weighing your bags at home to avoid surprises at the airport.
- Pack extra batteries and power banks in your carry-on for your devices.
- Save goodbyes for home—only travelers can go inside during busy times.
- Consider using the Dubai Metro to avoid traffic if you’re going to or from the airport or between Terminals 1 and 3.
- And remember, only public transport and airport vehicles can use the arrivals’ areas in Terminals 1 and 3.
We’re working hard to make sure your time at DXB is smooth and stress-free. Thanks for being patient during this busy season. Safe travels!
