DUBAI: Sustainability and responsible coffee practices are at the heart of World of Coffee Dubai 2025, as industry leaders focus on ethical sourcing, fair trade, and environmental impact.

The global coffee industry is evolving, with sustainability no longer an option but a necessity. This year’s event brings together experts, producers, and innovators to discuss fair pricing for farmers, eco-friendly sourcing, and sustainable growth.

Shouq Bin Redha, Exhibition Director, emphasised the event’s role in driving meaningful change: “World of Coffee is not just a trade show—it’s a movement towards a fairer, more sustainable industry.”

Khalid Al Mulla, CEO of SCA UAE Chapter, echoed this sentiment, stressing that ethical practices are now essential. “We are committed to reducing waste and improving sustainability,” he said, citing a partnership with The Waste Lab, which repurposes coffee grounds as fertiliser.

The importance of transparency and responsible trade has never been greater, particularly for large corporations with massive supply chains. Ethical sourcing and sustainability commitments from global brands will be instrumental in shaping the future of coffee.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid attended the event, highlighting its significance in connecting farmers, traders, and producers to foster business growth. He reaffirmed Dubai’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses in the coffee sector, further solidifying its role as a global economic hub.

During his visit, His Highness explored exhibits featuring state-of-the-art coffee processing and distribution technologies, reinforcing the event’s commitment to advancing responsible coffee practices from farm to cup.
