DUBAI: The UAE is all set to celebrate Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with a grand event in Dubai on 11th August. This special occasion will see the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE. Alongside them, diplomats and key figures from the Pakistani community will also join in the festivities.
The celebration, organised by the “Emirates Loves Pakistan” page in collaboration with the Pakistan Association Dubai, Dubai Police, and Dubai World Trade Centre, reflects the strong and enduring friendship between the UAE and Pakistan. It will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre and is expected to draw a crowd of around 10,000 people.
The event promises a vibrant line-up, including cultural performances, musical shows, and traditional activities that will showcase the rich heritage of Pakistan. These performances not only highlight the cultural contributions of the Pakistani community but also underline their significant role in the UAE’s growth and development.
This celebration is more than just a festivity; it stands as a testament to the UAE’s commitment to international cooperation, tolerance, and the peaceful coexistence of diverse cultures.

The relationship between the UAE and Pakistan has deep roots, going back to 1971 when the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE, laid its foundation. The UAE remains Pakistan’s top trading partner and largest investor, having recently committed $10 billion to key sectors in Pakistan’s economy.
