DUBAI: The excitement continued at DUBAI GAMES 2025 as H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, attended the second day of the tournament’s biggest edition yet. Held at Dubai Festival City, this year’s event features 244 teams from across the globe, making it the most expansive in its history.
Organised in partnership with Dubai Sports Council, the tournament runs until February 23 with DP World as the official partner and DAMAC Group and Emarat as diamond partners. Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Hamdan highlighted Dubai’s commitment to promoting an active and health-conscious lifestyle, ensuring sports remain a core part of the city’s culture.
Battle of the Government heats up
The second day witnessed high-intensity action in the Battle of the Government – Men, with four teams securing spots in the grand final:
• Abu Dhabi Police – 121 points
• Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation – Ajman – 113.74 points
• Ministry of Defence – 113.63 points
• Dubai State Security – 112.19 points
Anticipation is high for the final showdown on February 23.
Battle of the Cities expands globally
The day also saw the first round of the Battle of the Cities, now featuring 50 teams from countries including the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Denmark, Australia, the UK, USA, Spain, and Germany. The event’s growing international reach underscores Dubai’s role as a global sporting hub.
With the Battle of the Community launching next, the tournament continues its electrifying momentum. Featuring a prize pool of AED 3.1 million, DUBAI GAMES 2025 is a landmark event inspiring future generations to embrace sports, ambition, and resilience.
