MUMBAI: Baba Siddique, a senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and former Maharashtra minister, passed away on October 12, 2024, after being shot in Mumbai’s Bandra area.

He was attacked outside the office of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique. Baba Siddique was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The police have detained two suspects, and investigations are ongoing.

He brought together the two feuding Khans – Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan – during one of his Iftar parties.

Who was Baba Siddiqui?

Baba Siddique was a seasoned politician from Maharashtra, India, known for his roles in the Indian National Congress and later with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). He served as a Minister of State for Food & Civil Supplies and Labour, and was involved in various regional political committees.
