DUBAI: The Hatta Winter initiative, led by Brand Dubai, has concluded with a record 870,000 visitors, showcasing the region’s natural beauty, culture, and heritage. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative encouraged residents and tourists to explore Hatta’s scenic landscapes during the cooler months.
Organised under the #DubaiDestinations campaign and overseen by the Supreme Committee to Oversee the Development of Hatta, the month-long event featured five major festivals, each offering unique cultural, entertainment, and community experiences. Key government entities, including the Dubai Sports Council, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Culture, and Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), collaborated to enhance Hatta’s appeal as a must-visit winter getaway.
The five festivals included the Hatta Winter Festival by Brand Dubai, Hatta Cultural Nights by Dubai Culture, Hatta Honey Festival and Hatta Farming Festival by Dubai Municipality, and Hatta x DSF by DET. Together, these events welcomed thousands of visitors, with Hatta Winter Festival alone drawing over 650,000 attendees. The festival hosted 120 workshops, 14 diverse events, and four community activities, along with 80 TV episodes produced in collaboration with Dubai Media.
Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson of the Dubai Media Council, highlighted the initiative’s success, stating: “The overwhelming participation reflects Hatta’s growing appeal. This initiative is a key step in showcasing Dubai’s diverse attractions and reinforcing its status as a global tourism hub.”
The digital engagement was equally impressive, with the campaign generating 60 million video views and the #HattaWinter hashtag attracting 2.4 million interactions. The initiative also received 1,700 news reports across various media platforms, solidifying its impact.
With Dubai’s vision to promote sustainable tourism, Hatta Winter initiative has cemented itself as a key highlight in the UAE’s seasonal calendar.
