DUBAI: The Zayed International Foundation for the Environment has officially opened its 2025 Environmental Art Exhibition under the theme “Art and the Environment – A Sustainable Impact on Humanity and Earth.” Held at the Historica Auction Hall in Oud Metha, the exhibition runs until 31 May and showcases creative interpretations of environmental issues.
More than 30 students and four international artists are participating in the event, which is held in collaboration with Dubai Police, Dubai Police Academy, and Himaya Schools. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Hamdan Khalifa Al Shaer, Vice Chairman of the Foundation, representing Dr. Mohamed Ahmed bin Fahad, the Foundation’s Chairman.
Dr. bin Fahad highlighted that the exhibition reflects the philosophy of environmental art as a powerful yet gentle tool for spreading awareness. He added that the event is designed to create a deeper connection between artistic expression and environmental sustainability in the UAE and beyond.
Coinciding with the exhibition is the launch of a special documentary book that explores the environmental, scientific, and artistic themes of each featured work. The book examines the relationship between art and the region’s desert climate, soil, water resources, and atmosphere, aiming to drive greater environmental responsibility.
The exhibition is structured around five central themes: land restoration, desertification, water conservation, the role of women in environmental reform, and Dubai’s initiatives to combat climate change. Each segment supports the goals of the UAE’s 2030 National Green Agenda, linking artistic creativity with sustainability education.
This exhibition offers visitors a fresh perspective on environmental challenges, encouraging dialogue and innovative thinking on how art can inspire solutions for a more sustainable future.
