DUBAI: The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), in collaboration with thejamjar, has unveiled the 29th edition of ArtMap, a comprehensive guide showcasing the UAE’s thriving art landscape. This edition underscores Dubai’s commitment to establishing itself as a global creative hub.

ArtMap offers a detailed directory of over 40 art galleries, cultural festivals, exhibitions, and programmes, including iconic events like Sikka Art and Design Festival, Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, and Art Dubai, which now features a digital art section. It also highlights Al Marmoom: Film in the Desert Festival and Dubai’s Public Art Strategy, aiming to transform the city into an open gallery.

The guide sheds light on Al Quoz Creative Zone, a vibrant hub for art studios and collaboration, and provides information on grants, awards, and upcoming exhibitions. Initiatives such as the Reading Box, Library Talks, and School of Life by Dubai Public Library are also featured.

ArtMap celebrates the achievements of regional talents like Latifa Saeed and Sara Alkhayyal, alongside renowned institutions such as The Third Line and Carbon 12. The cover design by Sheikh Maktoum bin Marwan Al Maktoum reflects the UAE’s unique artistic identity.

Beyond Dubai, the guide explores Abu Dhabi’s creative districts and key events, including the Abu Dhabi Art fair and Manar Abu Dhabi. It also highlights Sharjah Art Foundation’s 16th Biennial, themed ‘To Carry,’ opening in February.

Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, CEO of Dubai Culture, stated, “ArtMap showcases Dubai’s vibrant ecosystem, attracting global creatives and driving innovation.” Hetal Pawani, Director of thejamjar, added, “As thejamjar marks 20 years, we’re proud to celebrate emerging talents shaping the UAE’s art narrative.”
