ABU DHABI: The capital is gearing up to host HYROX, the world’s largest indoor fitness race, on July 19, 2025, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) as part of the Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS) programme.

Organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in collaboration with HYROX, this high-energy global event marks a major achievement for Project 206, the company behind HYROX’s expansion into the Middle East.

HYROX Abu Dhabi will unite a diverse crowd — from seasoned athletes to everyday gym-goers — in a unique race that blends endurance, strength, and teamwork. It’s not just for the elite. With categories for every level, HYROX is known for its inclusive format and community vibe.

The race format is simple but tough: eight 1km runs, each followed by a functional workout — making it a true test of stamina and fitness. Participants can race solo, in pairs (male, female, or mixed), as elite “pro” competitors, or in a fun relay team of four.

In a move that underlines HYROX’s inclusive approach, an Adaptive Division will also be featured, opening the competition to athletes with physical disabilities.

As the global fitness trend explodes in the UAE, HYROX Abu Dhabi is expected to draw massive crowds, bringing even more attention to ADNEC’s growing role as a hub for world-class sporting events.

Whether you’re chasing a podium or just looking for a new challenge, HYROX Abu Dhabi promises to be one of the capital’s most electric sporting events this summer.
