DUBAI: Emirates and the FA Cup are extending their partnership for four more years, starting from the 2024/25 season. This extension shows Emirates’ continued support for the FA Cup, a partnership that began in 2015 and has been very successful.
Every season, more than 700 clubs and 10,000 players compete in the FA Cup, which ends with the Final at Wembley Stadium. In the 2023/24 season, the FA Cup drew over 96 million viewers globally, with more than 8 million watching the Final between Manchester City and Manchester United. The competition’s popularity is growing, with matches shown in over 200 countries.
The new deal will bring exciting opportunities for fans worldwide to engage with the Emirates FA Cup. This includes an annual international Emirates FA Cup Trophy Tour, where fans can see the famous trophy up close. Previous tours supported by Emirates have gone to countries like Ghana, Kenya, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States.
The FA Cup generates significant revenue each year, which helps fund English football at all levels. As a non-profit, The FA reinvests this money to support and develop football from grassroots to professional levels.
Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said, “The Emirates FA Cup has given us many unforgettable moments and united communities through football. We are proud of our long partnership with The FA and this historic tournament loved by football fans everywhere. We look forward to connecting more fans to their favourite teams and the magic of the Emirates FA Cup.”
