Dubai Pickleball Open 2025 launches at Pickleturf, with 275 players, global attention, and a bold sports vision.

Dubai: The Dubai Pickleball Open 2025 marks the Middle East’s first major professional Pickleball tournament, running from May 8–11 at Pickleturf Dubai, Port Rashid. Backed by the Dubai Sports Council and organised by SSF Events and Global Sports, the event brings over 275 players from 15+ countries for a dynamic four-day competition.

This inaugural edition reflects Dubai’s growing role in global sports innovation. As Khalid Al Awar of Dubai Sports Council noted, “Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a global hub for sporting excellence… This marks another milestone in the growth of sports in the emirate.”

The event is spearheaded by India-based Global Sports, with celebrity partner Karan Johar adding entertainment flair. Bollywood director Shashank Khaitan and partners Hemal Jain, Niraj Jain, and others aim to position Pickleball for global recognition and potential Olympic inclusion.

Hosting duties fall to Pickleturf Dubai, a new world-class facility founded by Anam Mirza and Kashif Ali, designed to cater to both professionals and enthusiasts. SSF Events, led by Mohammad Saif, ensures world-class event execution.

Sania Mirza, tennis legend, praised the movement: “Pickleball is one of the most inclusive and fastest-growing sports globally… I’m proud to be part of something that will shape the future of sport in this region.”

Global Sports also announced plans for three new international Pickleball properties in Dubai focused on youth, tourism, and competition — setting the stage for long-term impact.

The Dubai Pickleball Open 2025 isn’t just a tournament. It’s a movement merging athleticism, culture, and innovation.
