DUBAI: The highly anticipated Season 4 of the DP World International League T20 (ILT20) will start on 2nd December 2025, coinciding with Eid Al Etihad, and run through to 4th January 2026. The tournament promises 34 action-packed matches featuring six competitive teams, drawing in international T20 stars and global attention.

This new season’s timing has been carefully planned to accommodate the global cricket calendar, especially the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup scheduled for early February 2026. David White, CEO of DP World ILT20, confirmed, “After extensive discussions with all stakeholders, we believe this window is perfect for Season 4. It ensures our players are match-ready ahead of their national duties at the World Cup.”
The timing also enhances opportunities for teams to access a broader player base, as it avoids scheduling conflicts with other major leagues. The decision to start the league on Eid Al Etihad adds festive significance to the cricketing spectacle, aligning with national pride and unity.
Last season, DP World ILT20 showcased global talent with stars like David Warner, Sunil Narine, Sam Curran, Shai Hope, Andre Russell, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Nicholas Pooran. The upcoming edition is expected to attract a similar calibre of players, further boosting its profile as one of the premier franchise leagues globally.
As preparations get underway, excitement builds among fans and franchises alike, with expectations of thrilling matches, packed stadiums, and standout performances across venues in the UAE. The league has quickly become a mainstay of the regional sporting calendar, combining high-quality cricket with world-class entertainment.
With Eid Al Etihad marking the league’s grand opening, Season 4 of the DP World ILT20 promises a cricketing celebration like no other.
