The company refers to its technology as “artificial gut intelligence,” which is designed to help you understand what your waste might be telling you about your health. Throne’s AI is trained by physicians to look for various signs of health found in waste matter. This includes analysing “nuances” in urine to determine hydration levels.

What’s interesting is that the company emphasises privacy and data protection. They make it clear that the images captured are “anonymized.” According to Throne, “We only capture images of the contents of your toilet bowl. Any other data is irrelevant to our mission and could compromise our ability to provide accurate health insights.” To ensure this, they use image recognition technology to automatically delete any non-relevant images, making sure that only toilet-related data is kept.

This innovative approach could provide valuable insights into personal health, allowing users to understand their bodies better. By analysing waste, Throne aims to bridge the gap between everyday bathroom habits and health monitoring, creating a more engaged and informed user base about their well-being. In a world where health technology is rapidly evolving, Throne’s toilet bowl camera could be an unexpected yet effective tool for personal health management.
