With the advent of Covid19, scientists are now talking about NeoCov Covid Variant and Omnicrone is still on, it is high time to revise the syllabus of do’s and do not’s to keep us all safe.

Today with the outbreak of #COVID19 it has become a global concern and has truly shaken the foundation of our world. There was a time when people would laugh at others for washing their hands before and after meals or shaking hands etc. Now, thanks to the novel coronavirus, people have started to take note that they should sanitize their hands more frequently, wear a mask, etc.

The question now is are they doing it the right way? Granted there are signs, guides everywhere but people tend to forget a few key points.

One major point is that if they don’t have access to water and good quality soap, they should use any Isopropyl Alcohol 70% Solution. Why not use a sanitiser gel-like everyone else does? There are two reasons to not use it, firstly if overused it can cause burning of your skin. Secondly, it also makes your hands more coarse; ultimately you can feel they aren’t as clean as they would when using the other solution, meaning basically defeating the entire purpose. By using an Alcohol solution, it helps clean your hands (obviously) but without affecting your skin as much. The trick is to use a pump-based hand cream after you’ve rubbed your hands with the solution. It is proven its merits as it is visibly used in hospitals when dealing with patients as well as to treat prickly heat and insect bites.

Another point is that people who use gloves to avoid any contamination, actually lose track when they touch their wallets, phones, or any article that they may or may not disinfect once they’ve reached home. For example a phone, several people without realizing use the gloves to exchange money, items, etc., and then shortly thereafter use their smartphone to surf the internet or just make a quick call. How many people actually remember to sterilize their phones once they’re home. In all cases, it is best for people who use gloves to dispose of it first, then rub their hands with an alcohol solution before using the phone.

To sum up, these are a few notable issues that come up when we talk about truly washing our hands to fight #Coronavirus. Once you’ve started thinking this way, it opens up your mind to contemplate, take more precautions to help us in the #FightAgainstCOVID19 and all infectious diseases!
