McDonald’s UAE invites you to plant lettuce seeds with every Happy Meal

UAE: With every Happy Meal purchase, and for a limited time only, you will receive a sachet that contains the same seeds that grow to be the lettuce you enjoy in the meals. The lettuce seeds come from the trusted fruits and vegetables supplier, Del Monte Foods. This will come as a unique addition to McDonald’s Happy Meal toys.

McDonald’s has partnered with Emirates Environmental Group, a professional working group devoted to protecting the environment through the means of education, action programs, and community involvement for many years, and with their help, we are proud that we were able to bring this initiative to life.

Through this planting journey, the whole family will be able to learn the important values of patience and care, as the seeds grow. 

Let’s get to the planting instructions!

• Prepare your planting pots and fill them with moistened soil
• Plant one lettuce seed per pot about 1 cm deep and lightly cover with soil
• Pour water until saturated
• Keep the pot beside a window with direct sunlight
• Mist the lettuce seeds daily for the first 7 to 10 days
• In 10 days, you should expect to see the plant grow to 2 to 3 cm
• Continue to water the plant every day (about 100ml of water)
• After 25 to 28 days, your plant should be around 15cm
