RTA Awarded InsuranceMarket.ae Naming Rights of Mashreq Station for 10 Years
Fri 06 Sep 2024DUBAI: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded the naming rights of Mashreq Metro Station to InsuranceMarket.ae, the UAE’s largest insurance platform. This rebranding will rename the station to InsuranceMarket Metro Station for the next 10 years. The station is located on the Red Line, between Mall of The Emirates and Dubai Internet City Metro Stations, along Sheikh Zayed Road.

Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, CEO of the Rail Agency at RTA, highlighted the importance of private sector partnerships in boosting economic growth. He noted that the deal with InsuranceMarket.ae exemplifies a successful public-private partnership, supporting RTA’s projects, creating job opportunities, and aiding the government’s goals.
Kalbat also mentioned that Dubai’s metro stations offer a valuable advertising platform, helping companies and investors market their products and services. This opportunity aligns with their goals to enhance global competitiveness and expand their businesses.
Avinash Babur, Founder & CEO of InsuranceMarket.ae, expressed gratitude for the naming rights. He sees this as a major milestone for the company and believes it underscores their commitment to serving the UAE community. Babur compared the metro’s role in connecting Dubai with InsuranceMarket.ae’s mission to connect people with the right insurance solutions.

From September to November 2024, RTA will update the station’s name on external signs, indoor and outdoor directional signs, smart systems, and public transport apps. The new name will also be reflected in onboard announcements. RTA encourages metro riders to be aware of this change and seek assistance from station staff if needed.
