SHARJAH: The 13th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2024) is set to take place at the Expo Centre Sharjah on 4-5 September. This year’s event will offer a range of training programmes designed to develop the skills of future leaders in communication, including government officials, employees, and students.

The forum will feature 40 different activities, such as workshops and training sessions. These programmes will focus on key areas like marketing, influencer marketing, communication, and creative thinking. They are organised with the help of five local and international experts and over 35 strategic partners. The goal is to equip participants with the skills needed to tackle modern communication challenges.

One highlight is the ‘Influencer Dynamics: Mastering Public Communication in the Digital Age’ programme, running from 3-5 September. This three-day training, in partnership with Forbes Middle East and GovCampus, will help participants learn how to use influencer marketing effectively. The programme includes 24 sessions with talks from top influencers, practical exercises, and workshops led by experts.

Another exciting programme is ‘New Generation Skills for Kids: Integrating System Thinking & Technology,’ scheduled for 4 September. This full-day course, in collaboration with Strawberry Fields and the Sharjah Private Education Authority, will teach children aged 8 to 15 communication skills that keep up with technology. It will use techniques like mind-mapping to boost their logical thinking and creativity.

IGCF 2024 is not just about training but also about inspiring innovation and connecting with global practices to improve government communication.
