Burjeel Holdings acquires Riyadh-based PhysioTrio, integrating it into its PhysioTherabia network, expanding specialised physiotherapy services across Saudi Arabia.

Riyadh: In a move reinforcing its strategic expansion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Burjeel Holdings has acquired 100% of PhysioTrio Physiotherapy Center, a leading physiotherapy provider in Riyadh, through its subsidiary Burjeel Arabia.

Founded in 2013, PhysioTrio is known for its advanced rehabilitation services, particularly in sports physiotherapy, and maintains vital contracts with the Ministry of Sport. Its inclusion into Burjeel’s PhysioTherabia network marks a significant milestone, further cementing the network as the largest and fastest-growing physiotherapy and wellness platform in Saudi Arabia.

PhysioTrio’s integration strengthens Burjeel’s commitment to delivering high-quality, specialised care in the Kingdom and aligns closely with Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritises healthcare innovation, accessibility, and private sector participation.

Safeer Ahamed, Co-CEO of Burjeel Holdings, stated, “Saudi Arabia is central to our long-term growth strategy. Acquiring PhysioTrio boosts our footprint and helps deliver cutting-edge, athlete-focused rehabilitation services to support the Kingdom’s dynamic population.”

The newly acquired centre will now benefit from PhysioTherabia’s vast ecosystem, which includes AI-powered assessments, centralised protocols, and continuous clinical training to ensure standardised, high-quality care. With this acquisition, PhysioTherabia now operates 30 facilities across Saudi Arabia, including nine in Riyadh and one in Mecca.

Abdulmohsen Al Ashry, Regional CEO – KSA at Burjeel Holdings, added, “We are building a foundation that transforms rehabilitative care. This expansion empowers our teams to scale advanced treatments and engage with broader communities across the Kingdom.”

The deal follows Burjeel Holdings’ recent healthcare investments in Saudi Arabia, including Aspris Healthcare, a mental health platform integrated through joint venture Alkalma, and advances in day surgery, digital health, and complex care delivery.

As Burjeel Holdings continues to grow in Saudi Arabia, the PhysioTrio acquisition marks a pivotal step toward reshaping physiotherapy services—combining innovation, accessibility, and holistic wellness under one rapidly growing umbrella.
