Thumbay Lab for AI in Healthcare at GMU drives innovation, boosting AI-driven education, diagnostics, and real-world healthcare solutions.
Ajman: The Thumbay College of Management and AI in Healthcare at Gulf Medical University (GMU) has inaugurated the Thumbay Lab for AI in Healthcare, marking a strategic leap in the integration of AI in healthcare education and innovation. Held at GMU’s Library Main Foyer, the launch was attended by prominent dignitaries, including H.E. Shri. Sunjay Sudhir, Indian Ambassador to the UAE, and Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of Thumbay Group.
The advanced lab is designed to serve as a hub for research, learning, and real-world application of AI across healthcare disciplines. From diagnostics and patient care to operational decision-making, the facility aims to bridge academic knowledge with industry practice, fostering a new generation of healthcare professionals adept in AI technologies.
Three core academic programmes are central to this initiative: the Master in Artificial Intelligence and Health Informatics (MAIHI), Certificate Course in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, and the Certificate Course in Generative AI in Healthcare.
