Three new trims of GAC GS8– Petrol, Hybrid and Traveller – showcased in immersive on- and off-road experience
Dubai: Gargash Motors, one of the UAE’s leading automotive distributors, hosted an exclusive event at the Dubai Autodrome to unveil the 2026 GAC GS8 lineup. The new Petrol, Hybrid, and Traveller editions were presented to media and influencers in a hands-on driving experience, spotlighting their performance across both rugged and urban terrains.
The off-road segment featured the all-new GS8 Traveller edition navigating a custom-built course, underscoring its all-terrain prowess. This was followed by an on-track showcase of the Petrol and Hybrid variants, offering a firsthand feel of their responsive acceleration, dynamic handling, and advanced safety tech.
All three trims of the 2026 GS8 boast distinctive character. The Petrol and Hybrid models sport a redesigned exterior with an extended grille and 20-inch alloy wheels, while the Traveller features bold off-road styling, a chrome-accented grille, and a practical rear utility box.
Performance-wise, the Petrol and Traveller editions are powered by a 2.0TGDI engine delivering 248hp and 380Nm torque. The Hybrid variant introduces GAC’s 2.0TM Mega Wave THS System—delivering equal output with improved fuel economy. Multiple driving modes, including ECO, Comfort, Sport, and Off-Road, allow smooth adaptability to various conditions.
Inside, the GS8 offers a premium seven-seater cabin complete with tri-zone climate control, ventilated and massaging front seats (Hybrid only), ambient lighting, and a built-in fragrance system. Safety features include a full airbag suite and advanced ESP.
A 14.6-inch HD touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Alpine sound system, and wireless charging ensure modern convenience and entertainment.
Pricing starts at AED 139,900 for the Traveller, AED 149,900 for the Petrol, and AED 169,900 for the Hybrid edition. All models come with a 10-year warranty and are available in five exterior colours with three interior trim options.
